The End of my Mayoral Campaign

I am now running for Victoria City Council, and all of the information on this website has been updated to reflect this change. For those of you wondering why I've made this decision, I'll explain it here.

After speaking with some of the current City Councilors and judging the amount of post-election support I would find as Mayor, I have decided that I cannot ask eight other people to follow my leadership if I don't first know what they have to deal with as a Council.

I have also given some serious thought to my chances of winning the election, and have come to the realization that I simply do not have the time and money to run for Mayor. It makes me sick to think about it, but you really do need about $20,000 just to make it into office. So I've had to ask myself: Do I want to get a point across, or do I want to make a difference? I've chosen to make a difference, and I feel I can do that as a Councilor.

I'd like to thank everyone for their support so far, and I look forward to working for all of you while on City Council.
